Rock Band Jam Session in Toronto
April 3 looks like it could be a nice day for a “White Wedding”—but it also has the potential to be a good day to jam out to your favourite tunes in front of an adoring crowd. I know it sounds too good to be true, but “Don’t Stop Believing,” because I’m telling the truth! (I promise there will be no more puns in this article…)
If you’re in Toronto this Saturday, April 3, 2010, be sure to stop in to Rockie Raccoons at 9 p.m. for a night of Rock Band as you’ve never experienced it before… unless, you know, you’ve attended Rock Band Jam Sessions in the past.
Hosted by SemiSolidMedia, these one-of-a-kind events have been going strong for approximately 2 years now. The reason for the longevity of this event is, of course, the sheer amount of fun its participants have!
Why is it so fun? Allow me to explain; Picture a fun night of karaoke. Now, consider how many times during this night you were just too embarrassed to take center stage to belt out your favourite DEVO or Journey songs. Done? Now, picture yourself going up and singing those songs as your friends rock out on plastic instruments behind you, to a crowd of screaming/clapping/swooning like-minded individuals.
That’s right, I’ve just described heaven. Whodathunk heaven would be filled with loud music, drunks and video games?
Afraid you won’t have a song to play? SemiSolidMedia have you covered; they’ve downloaded A LOT! You can find a track list .PDF on their website. Or you can click HERE for your convenience.
Rock Band Jam Sessions are for people of all skill levels. First timers can go up and jam on easy mode and expect to be treated with the same respect that the band prior, who (in badass rockstar attire) melted the fret buttons on expert!
Everyone is welcome, and all are guaranteed a fun time.
What will you be doing on Saturday night? Do I need to ask?
Rockie Raccoons is located at 2579 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M4P 2J1.
