What is CultureGET?

CultureGET was born of the need to bring gaming, tech, music, and events coverage together into one glorious site of epic awesomeness. Sure, you can get your info fix elsewhere—but why?

Want to meet the CultureGET team? Of course you do!

Dillon AndrewsDillon Andrews, Founder

Born with a remote control in one hand and a game controller in the other, Dillon has always had a soft spot for electronics and entertainment. In 2004, he used his gaming powers to join forces with pal Reece Heywood to bring Ve3tro to fruition. Many years later, having written for various publications and, having been sourced by major gaming outlets, he has built a network of like-minded individuals in order to deliver CultureGET to a waiting world.

When not focusing on building his websites, Dillon wears many hats in the multimedia world. This former QA team lead, he is now spearheading the development of a new title (which cannot be discussed, so don’t even ask). He is also a producer of film and television who is credited on multiple short films coming out this year (and one even being showcased at Cannes!).

Lori Dance, Editor-in-Chief
Email | Twitter | Posts

After deciding to branch out from her adventures in the world of professional copywriting and proofreading, Lori cut her teeth on blogs people actually read as a Newsstand reporter and tech events writer for Torontoist. From there, she made the leap to full-on gaming journalism as one half of A Couple of Gamers until Dillon was dazzled by her genius and begged her to join him in his greatest venture.

During brief rest periods from cracking the whip at CultureGET, Lori continues to flex her copywriting and proofreading muscles for myriad clients. She continues her stranglehold on the freemium-gaming industry as Head Writer for a Flash-based-to-Facebook MMORPG called Fantasy Online and a hitherto-unreleased iOS title for Blammo Games. Her other marketable skills include failing at vegetarian cooking and making up fantastic names for websites (like this one [and this one]).
